Abstract
LoKI is a SANS instrument being built by STFC ISIS as an in-kind contribution to ESS. According to the recent schedule, LoKI, is one of the first three instruments of ESS that is going to contribute to early science from 2023. MCNP calculations were carried out to determine the required shielding around different sections of the instrument. For the geometry development, SuperMC/MCAM was used. Highlights from the neutronics calculations based on the most frequent classes of possible events are presented here. These include heavy shutter performance, collimator section shielding and detector tank shielding. Activation and background calculations are not detailed in this paper.
