A compact and movable pulsed magnet system for high magnetic fields up to 30 T has been developed for new sample environment equipment at the MLF in the J-PARC. It consists of (1) a capacitor bank power supply with a control unit, (2) a small solenoid coil and (3) a cryostat-insert. Neutron scattering experiments have been performed at a few beam-lines in the MLF and characteristics of the pulsed magnet system are described.
