Abstract
This paper presents measured iron loss properties of a rotating machine's stator core at each manufacturing stage. It is well known that the magnetic properties deteriorate in constructed cores due to stress in manufacturing process and the iron loss increases in comparison with one of the ideal material used in designing, and then the building factor becomes more than one. In this paper, knowledge obtained in development of a simplified evaluation method of iron losses in actual stator cores of rotating machines is presented.
