Experimental study on active seat suspension for a small vehicle

Abstract

To improve riding comfort of driver's seat, we have proposed active suspension system for heavy duty truck. In this study, the control mechanism of the active seat suspension was designed for a small vehicle such as community car with using the optimal control method. The operability improvement for senior citizens, the vibration isolation for babies and the riding comfort improvement on the unpaved road can be expected. In order to examine the effectiveness of the system, experiments were performed.
