Abstract
The paper attempts to create a mathematical model of the transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), the technique that aims at replacing the electro-convulsive treatment (ECT) in the therapy of deep depression.
The magnetic field calculation is based on the T-Ω formulation, which, due to low electric conductivity and constant magnetic permeability of the brain tissue, allows us to build finite element model of the head only.
