Abstract
Levitation force between a highly magnetized superconducting bulk magnet (SBM) and a permanent magnet (PM) was numerically calculated considering non-linear J-E relation of a SBM and demagnetization of a PM. The variation of the levitation force was found according to operating temperatures, maximum trapped flux densities of a SBM, and gap distances between a SBM and a PM. Saturation of the levitation force was found. The results of this research could be applied to achieve an optimal design of a real levitation system using SBMs and PMs.
