Abstract
Today, companies start to understand the value of knowledge in their organization. The great challenge in developing KM-systems lies in the organizational and cultural aspects. For projects in this field Ordina uses a multidisciplinary approach which is driven by the contribution KM-systems deliver to the daily business of an organization.
This session will deal with how business drivers influence the way you should organize knowledge within your company. The next step is to make an inventory of available knowledge related to the way knowledge is organized, after which knowledge is mapped to people in the organization.
Final part of the session is about implementing the knowledge management process. Various new functions and tasks have to be introduced into the organization.
A KM-project is an integrated process combining organizational, cultural and technological aspects in order to form a shared knowledge management process across the organization. In this process knowledge is seen as a valuable production factor, gathered, categorized and shared among people to be successfully prepared for the challenges of the future.
