Abstract
MENTOR was funded as the Management Science/Operational Research project within the Teaching and Learning Technology Programme (TLTP). This paper describes the original aims of MENTOR and how they have been achieved through the design and development of the MENTOR multimedia system. A description of the system is given; outlining the issues and theory which underpin the design of the software and detailing the developmental framework adopted by MENTOR. Various integration possibilities are explored, with practical suggestions for successful integration. Examples from individual modules and case studies are used to illustrate the various features of the system and its possible usage.
