Abstract
Meta-information systems provide an inventory of available information resources in a organisation. They are an essential tool for corporate information management to allow planning and controlling of the information infrastructure within the organisation. There are still considerable problems to be solved to reach the ultimate goal, which is to create an integrated view on all information resources in an organisation and to provide direct access for end-users to these available information resources.
