Abstract
This presentation considers the relationship between employee values and high performance in organizations. In a constantly changing environment of high technology, global competition, and a shrinking pool of highly skilled talent available for employment, organizations must address the questions: What does the organization stand for? What are the values, principles, and ethics that set the organization apart? Do employees know those values and share them? Do managers work by these values or merely give them lip service? Producing quality in organizations means empowering leaders at all levels to add organizational value and reinforce individual values which motivate one to work. Therefore, to achieve quality, organizational management must state its values, act accordingly, train their people, and then empower them to act.
