Abstract
Modem technology has provided the means through which production of information products or their components can be accomplished in the worker's home. This paper addresses the benefits of this approach. Areas considered include employee turnover, overhead costs, and efficiency enhancements. The importance of continuing social interaction with those employees removed from centers of production is considered. Benefits to workers include child care, flexibility of scheduling, etc. Other benefit concerns, e.g., workmens compensation and insurance questions are considered.
