Abstract
A system under development at the University of Waterloo Library which attempts to simulate many of the services of a reference librarian is presented. This system is distinguished by its integration of the bibliographic-instructional and quick-reference functions of the reference librarian, by its flexibility of access, and by its extensive use of graphics and expert systems.
