Abstract
This paper deals with the problem of calculating the wave resistance of SWATH ships based on the linearized theory. A modified numerical procedure, which can simplify the computer program and save the calculation time, has been developed. Numerical results of wave resistance of two SWATH ships as weh as their towing testing results are provided in this paper. The comparison of these data shows that the present method can give fine accuracy of computation for practical purpose and is suited to further development in SWATH ship hull form design.
