Abstract
The corrosion wear of steel structures, the deviations of ship’s main dimensions from their nominal values and the cross section geometrical characteristics of ‘as-rolled’ steel plates and profiles are treated stochasticly. On this basis a mathematical model is developed for statistical evaluation of ship’s hull cross section geometrical characteristics for any ship’s age. All these characteristics obey the normal distribution law. An example is given for a 25000 tdw universal bulk carrier.
