Abstract
Two defects of the criteria used for the radial thrust distribution are analysed and means are proposed for eliminating them. The first defect, the lack of the definition of the quantity used in the optimization criteria is removed by introducing parallel with the thrust deduction factor a new definition of a local thrust deduction coefficient specified on propeller disc and identified with the quantity
The second defect, the internal inconsistency of the existing criteria (the initial assumptions are not fulfilled by the end results) was removed by the new methodics of building the criteria using the new definition of local thrust deduction coefficient. New criteria are proposed.
Comparative calculation results are presented to prove that author’s ideas are correct.
