Abstract
The geometrical characteristics of the cross section of the compound elements of welded T-bars are treated as stochastic variables due to the stochastic nature of the accuracy of plates cutting, plates thickness and theh corrosion wear. On this basis, the geometrical characteristics of the cross section of welded T-bars are also treated as stochastic variables during the ship’s life-time. Applying the method of linear transformation of a function of stochastic arguments, a mathematical model is developed which allows the probability of the geometrical characteristics of the cross section of welded T-bars being within any given limits to be calculated for any given year of the ship’s life-time. The numerical results for 26 types of welded T-bars are given.
