Abstract
The geometrical characteristics of the cross section of the compound elements of welded T-bars are treated as stochastic variables. On this basis, the geometrical characteristics of the cross section of welded T-bars are also treated as stochastic variables. Applying the method of linear transformation of a function of stochastic arguments, a mathematical model is developed which allows the mean values and dispersions of the cross section area, moment of inertia and section modulus of T-bars to be obtained. The numerical results for 26 types of welded T-bars are given.
