Abstract
Methodical series results and theoretical methods are discussed as suitable means of design, both for large blade area ratio noncavitating and fully cavitating propellers. The most common applications and aspects of installation are described, emphasis being placed on propellers which operate little submerged or even surface piercing. High-speed controllable pitch propeller applications and special problems encountered in model testing are dealt with.
