Abstract
The paper presents an approximate method for estimation resistance of twin-screw merchant ship with open stern of transom type. The method is based on the systematic model tests carried out at the Gdansk Technical University. An algorithm for calculation is elaborated. Some information concerning the propulsion coefficients are also given.
