Abstract
The velocity potentials are found for liquids content with free surface in a rigid rectangular tank undergoing sinusoidal movements of translational and pitching type.
The expression is found for the dynamical pressure acting on the transversal tank walls whilst the results of a numerical computer investigation are plotted in adimensional diagrams.
