Abstract
Much thought has necessarily been given to the ship-model correlation of single-screw ships.
Less is known of the correlation factors of twin-screw ships. As carefully conducted measured mile trials were carried out on five cross-channel twin-screw ships of the same size, and model results having been obtained separately for all of these ships, a comparison between the results of the measured mile trials and the performance predicted by the tank and based on the model results allowed to get some more information on the validity of the tank prediction and the correlation factors.
