Abstract
The research published in this paper was carried out on behalf of the Bureau of Ships of the Royal Netherlands Navy, with the object of studying the behaviour of the destroyer-types in a fully developed wind-sea at wind-force Beaufort 6 and further of evaluating the Lewis-semi-submerged shipform under such circumstances.
