Abstract
The paper gives an account of the details of design and some of the more interesting problems which were involved in the construction of the Adventurer. The hull form, model experiments and details of hull structure are given and particular reference is made to the interesting features of the vessel for heavy-lift operation, including a comprehensive description of the 180 ton heavy derrick and equipment.
