Abstract
The behavior of plates subjected to edge thrusts in the plastic range were studied experimentally and theoretically. The specimens used in the buckling tests were so chosen that buckling may take place at various stages of plastic deformation, and the test results were compared with the authors’ theory based on the stress-strain relation of the flow type. The experimental results showed good agreement with the theoretical results.
