Abstract
The study of tests on free rudder models enables an estimate to be made of the magnitude of the pressures, and consequently, of the moments, on rudder and rudder stocks
In this way it is possible to take into account the particular circumstances of the working of a given rudder, so that it is no longer necessary to use textbook formulae of doubtful value.
