Abstract
Molodtsov introduced the concept of soft set theory which can be used as a generic mathematical tool for dealing with uncertainties. In this paper, we discuss a new approach to introduce the basic properties of soft sets and compare soft sets to the related concepts of semihypergroups. We initiate the study of soft semihypergroups by using the soft subsemihypergroups, soft hyperideals, soft prime (semiprime) hyperideals, soft irreducible hyperideals.
