Abstract
This note introduces Fischer numbers and the Fischer graph. It aims to initiate the study of their properties by stating two conjectures and anticipating on questions regarding both. They refer to the small-world property of the Fischer graph and to the finiteness of the Fischer numbers of most chess players.
