Abstract
Two connected Atari ST computers were used to play 6882 games between copies of TechMate set at different time rates. The resulting data, combined with similar data using Belle (Thompson, 1982; Condon and Thompson, 1983), is modelled to establish a Technology Curve. It is empirically shown that the advantage of improved technology rapidly decreases when machines (and algorithms) become more powerful.
