Abstract
The business environment is becoming increasingly international, involving cultural and epistemological differences. Recent business problems require new ways of analysis. Mindscape theory is used in analyzing the American failure to increase export, agricultural policy failure in Japan, unsuccessful American attempts at creating Japanese-style general trading companies, many firms' tendency to reverse their management principles when operating in foreign countries, and new aspects of qualitative methodology.
