Abstract
Law has emanated from society for many centuries through processes that can be improved. However, a new conceptual structure must be used to aid legal science to produce better laws by which to live.
Cybernetics appears to be the science from which the legal profession can borrow to carry forward a much needed change. Law's basic problems are briefly commented and some of the possible contributions of cybernetics are delineated.
