Abstract
A model of autonomous, self-sustainable development is absolutely necessary for a viable human future, which corroborates the need for diverse, society-specific cultures across the globe. Cultural integrity-in-diversity enhances the human entelechy in us for personal vitality, institutional invigoration and viable socioeconomic development as well as morality, human integrity, societal solidarity, cooperation and amicable human and organizational relations. This research presents and tests such a model, using the system dynamics (SD) modeling method. The experimental results show how the austerity policies of the pseudo-aristocratic or swanky regime – in and about all of us live and work – disrupt our viable future. Through a transition from societal system structure and dynamics to focusing our attention on one-time events, abrupt disequilibria manifest themselves as systemic discontinuities through time. The ideals and principles behind authentic democracy can help prevent such catastrophes. Cast as a methodological application too, the article shows the use and benefits of formal SD model analysis.
