Abstract
Information technology, mainly computer and telecommunication, has influenced library education since the early 70s. With the coming of the globalization era and the information revolution, Indonesian library educators recognised its importance for future librarians by revising the curriculum. This paper presents a brief history of information technology-related training for library school students in Indonesia, including the most recent development in library and information science curriculum in Indonesia with special reference to the University of Indonesia, the nations oldest library education institution.
