Abstract
This paper describes, in brief, the different levels of education and the management of various types of libraries in Saudi Arabia. The paper also presents the current state-of-affairs of library and information science (LIS) education in Saudi Arabia, besides indicating various constraints faced by the librarianship profession as a career and suggests how to overcome them.
