Information Management and Librarianship: development of an innovative program through a cooperative link scheme

Abstract

This article describes the development of a cooperative initiative between an existing Department of Library and Information Studies at the University of Papua New Guinea, and an Information Management group based within a Faculty of Science and Technology at Deakin University. The nature of the programs being developed is outlined, as are the mechanics for ensuring collaborative development between the two link institutions.
