National and regional models of collaboration between teaching and research institutions within the field of library and information science – with the Fachhochschule für Bibliothekswesen Stuttgart (FHB) as an example

Abstract

After defining the fields of collaboration, the article introduces the most important European action programmes and discusses problems of funding. In the main part a short description of the history and present status of FHB-partnerships is given, followed by 3 examples: France, Hungary and Sweden.
