Abstract
As a complement to the Brain Train study, students taking LIS courses in 1991 and the Conference delegates were surveyed by questionnaire. The responses from 74 students from 34 countries are analyzed. The purpose of this survey was to determine the reasons students had for coming to the U.K. and what they expected to gain as a result of this experience. Respondents were also asked to identify educational and training needs and identify what could be provided by U.K. educational institutions.
