Abstract
This paper discusses the variety of courses available in Spain for documentalists and the qualifications which documentalists are awarded. The role of professional associations is outlined and their importance for the information profession is emphasized. Training and employment prospects in Spain are reviewed, including further training opportunities for those already qualified.
