Abstract
This article lists 46 departments of library and information science in China. After a brief review of the development of the Chinese library schools, it focuses on the management and evaluation of library school teachers related to the teachers' recruitment, teaching, educational level, training, continuing education, research, academic qualification system, salary system and welfare, cadre system, regulations, awards and relations between teachers and students.
