Abstract
At the Hannover College (Fachhochschule Hannover) a model curriculum for librarians and documentalists has been established. Besides theoretical courses in data processing and computer science, students receive practical experience using the computer laboratory of the department. The general outlay of the laboratory and the underlying teaching goals are described. The students are taught the principles of information processing using a minicomputer based library information system.
