Abstract
We studied erythrocyte aggregation parameters in 10 normal subjects and 10 diabetic patients. We measured erythrocyte aggregation on washed erythrocytes resuspended in their own or autologus plasma with 0.40 adjusted hematocrit both with glycosylated or control fibrinogen at different concentrations (from 0.5 g/l to 2.5 g/l). The cross match experiments emphasized the role of RBC suspension medium. No effect has been demonstrated on RBC aggregation with glycosylated fibrinogen.
