A contribution to the kinematics of filtration,when plasma is separated from whole blood

Abstract

A “relative viscosity-haematocrit-rate of shear” relationship is used in the study of blood ultrafiltration in a parallel-plate plasmapheresis device. Some preliminary in vitro experimental work with platelet-poor ox-blood is presented.
