Abstract
Callosum A, a new steroidal glycoside, has been isolated from the n-butanol soluble fraction of Lilium callosum, along with five known steroidal glycosides, reported for the first time from Lilium callosum. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods and from literature values. All compounds were tested for anticancer cytotoxic activity against GSC-7901, K562, and SPCA-1 cells.
