Abstract
The reactive intermediate produced in the reaction between alkyl isocyanides and dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates has been trapped by (4-methylphenyl)sulfonyl hydrazide to yield highly functionalised 1-tosylpyrazolidines in high yields.
