Three-Component Reaction between 3-Hydroxy-2-Naphthoic Acid,Aromatic Aldehydes and Acetonitrile in the Presence of Chlorosulfonic Acid: Synthesis of 4-(Acetylaminoarylmethyl)-3-Hydroxy-2-Naphthoic Acid
The one-pot, three-component reaction between 3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid, aromatic aldehydes and acetonitrile in the presence of chlorosulfonic acid leads to 4-(acetylaminoarylmethyl)-3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acids in excellent yields.
