Abstract
In chloroaluminate-based ionic liquid [bmim]Cl–AlCl3, N=0.67, the one-pot coupling reaction of carbonyl compounds, amines and diethyl phosphite gave the corresponding α–amino phosphonates in good to excellent yields. The method is appropriate to both primary and secondary amines. The effect of the ionic liquids with different compositions is also investigated.
