Abstract
The recyclable room temperature ionic liquid [bmim]PF6, namely l-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium hexafluorophosphate, is used as an alternative solvent to dipolar aprotic solvents for the synthesis of aryl allyl ether by the Williamson method.
