Abstract
Both 3α,17β- and 3β,17α-dihydroxy-5α-androstanes are hydroxylated at C-6β by the fungus, Cephalosporium aphidicola but the 3α,17β-diol is also hydroxylated at C-7α whereas the 3β,17α-diol is hydroxylated at C-11β.
