Abstract
Novel pyrazole derivatives (3a-g, 3a'–g’, 4a–g, 4a'–g’) have been synthesised by condensation of 3-methylbenzocy-clohepten-5-one (1) with aryl aldehydes in the presence of a base, followed by treatment with various hydrazines. Biological testing of these compounds for their antimicrobial activity has been carried out.
