Since serum levels are unknown in relation to Synkavite, the data are difficult to interpret but it would appear that inhibition in vitro occurs at concentrations which might be expected in an infant, particularly when high doses are given. Chloromycetin shows slight inhibition within the accepted range and streptomycin just beyond the accepted range of serum levels.
