Summary
Ovaries and testes of second-year larvae of Rana catesbeiana were cultured on synthetic media for varying periods of time up to 28 days. The organs were not as well maintained as on media from natural sources, but proliferation of non-germinal cells and young germ cells occurred on some of the tested media.
